Responsibilities/Job Description:

1.Curriculum Development:

  • Design and implement effective IGCSE English curriculum that aligns with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) standards.

  • Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Classroom Instruction:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote active student participation and foster a love for English language and literature.

  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning needs and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

3.Assessment and Feedback:

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic growth and helping them achieve their full potential.

4.Student Support:

  • Offer additional support to students who may require extra assistance, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for all learners.

5.Parent and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.

6.Extracurricular Involvement:

  • Actively participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs, writing competitions, or drama productions, to enhance the overall English language experience for students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification and relevant credentials for IGCSE English.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the IGCSE level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
