The Accountant is responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial transactions and reports. This role plays a key part in supporting management with reliable financial information for effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Full Set of Accounts:

    Handle and maintain a complete set of accounts to ensure smooth month-end closing and accurate financial records.
  2. Accounting Operations:

    Perform daily accounting functions including data entry, journal posting, and reconciliation to ensure transactions are recorded properly.
  3. Financial Reporting:

    Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheet schedules for management review according to reporting deadlines.
  4. Financial Analysis:

    Provide accurate and timely financial information and analysis to support business decisions and management reporting.
  5. Cash Flow & Payments:

    Manage payments to suppliers and creditors to ensure timely settlement and assist in monitoring and managing company cash flow.
  6. Audit Support:

    Assist in both internal and external audit exercises by preparing required documentation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  7. Tax Compliance (GST/SST):

    Assist in the preparation and submission of GST/SST reports and ensure compliance with relevant tax requirements.
  8. Vendor & Customer Communication:

    Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding payment matters and resolve any related issues promptly.
  9. Ad-hoc Duties:

    Support other finance-related tasks and any additional assignments as directed by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in full set of accounts preferred).
  • Familiar with accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST/SST regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
