About the role

As the Quality Assurance Manager at OTAFUKU SAUCE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of quality and compliance across our food manufacturing operations. In this full-time position based in Klang, Selangor, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities to ensure our products meet or exceed industry regulations and customer expectations.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee all quality assurance and food safety activities in the factory.
  • Ensure compliance with Halal, HACCP, GMP, and ISO/FSSC 22000 standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits (JAKIM, certification bodies, customers).
  • Check and approve raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  • Handle customer complaints, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality documentation and ensure proper record keeping.
  • Train and guide staff on quality and food safety procedures.
  • Work closely with Production, R&D, and Procurement to improve quality performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement and maintain a strong food safety culture.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in food manufacturing (preferably sauces or condiments).
  • Good knowledge of food safety systems and halal assurance.
  • Experience handling audits and quality certification.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
