About the role

Dae Guk M Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Material Controller to join our dynamic team based in Samalaju, Bintulu, Sarawak.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing material management strategies to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials to project sites
  2. Forecasting material requirements, coordinating procurement including preparing Purchase Order, and maintaining optimal inventory levels
  3. Monitoring and updating material records, including stock levels, order status, and delivery schedules
  4. Collaborating with project teams to identify and resolve material-related issues
  5. Conducting regular audits and implementing control measures to minimize material wastage and losses
  6. Liaising with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and maintain strong relationships
  7. Providing regular reports and updates on material management activities to management

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in material control or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize material planning and inventory management
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  4. Proficient in the use of material management software and Microsoft Office applications
  5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  6. Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and practices
