About the role

PJC Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor (Mandarin Speaker) to join our team in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. As a full-time Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects
  • Providing expert advice and support on commercial, contractual, and cost-related matters throughout the project lifecycle
  • Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts to optimise costs
  • Monitoring project expenditures and forecasting future costs to ensure projects remain within budget
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities and strategies
  • Preparing progress reports and financial statements for project stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the construction team to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects

What we're looking for

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control techniques, and project management principles
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with construction software and digital tools (e.g., BIM, estimating software)
