1. Design & Technical Review

  • Prepare, review, and update electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (MS, IEC, IEE, Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements).
  • Assist in performing calculations for cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, and equipment selection.

2. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal project teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Work closely with site teams to resolve technical issues and provide engineering support.
  • Review electrical shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements before installation.

3. Site Installation Support

  • Monitor and verify electrical installation works (wiring, trunking, switchboards, lighting, earthing, etc.) to ensure compliance with drawings and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and assist in solving on-site technical problems.
  • Ensure work progress meets project schedule and safety requirements.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Assist in planning and performing testing & commissioning (T&C) of electrical systems including LV systems, SMDB/DBs, lighting, grounding, and ELV systems.
  • Prepare T&C reports, inspection forms, and ensure documentation is submitted for consultant approval.
  • Support the handover process, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

5. Material & Vendor Coordination

  • Assist in evaluating electrical materials and equipment submitted by suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure materials comply with project specifications.
  • Maintain records of material approvals and technical documentation.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, and progress updates.
  • Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), BOMBA, local authorities, and client specifications.
  • Maintain proper filing for electrical documents, T&C sheets, and engineering records.

7. Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all electrical works adhere to safety regulations and company QHSE standards.
  • Highlight and report non-compliances, defects, or unsafe work practices.

8. Ad-Hoc Duties

  • Assist the Engineering or Project Manager on any related tasks assigned.
  • Support tendering activities such as BOQ preparation, costing, and technical submissions (for Assistant level depending on capability).

Job Types: Permanent, Contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM2, RM4,500.00 per month
