Primary Job Purpose:

Develop products that align with our categories and can be efficiently produced in volume at our production facilities, based on market trends, customer inquiries, and commercial needs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of bakery manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and enhance products that address specific market needs and niche segments.
  • Continuously improve and refine processes for existing products.
  • Understand the full production process, including packaging requirements.
  • Support manufacturing and product design by developing prototypes during product development stages.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Quality Assurance teams to establish production processes and create detailed product specification sheets.
  • Develop and implement Product Acceptability Guidelines.
  • Prepare concept samples for internal and external discussions, identifying and communicating potential scale-up risks.
  • Stay informed about market and innovation trends; work with the Marketing team to develop conceptual approaches for various product categories.
  • Manage and document product development progress, including monitoring and controlling costs.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the bakery industry.
  • Proven experience as a Product Developer, Baker, or in a related role.
  • Strong creative and innovative thinking skills.
  • Excellent time management with a track record of meeting project deadlines.

Soft Skills and Other Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
