About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage building and infrastructure projects from initial planning through construction and final handover. This role requires strong technical expertise in civil engineering, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, resource plans, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors during planning and design.
  • Secure necessary approvals from authorities and internal departments.
  • Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

2. Project Execution & Supervision

  • Lead and manage day-to-day site operations in accordance with approved plans.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Oversee contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.

3. Cost, Contract & Procurement Management

  • Work closely with Contract/QS teams on tender preparations, evaluations, and negotiations.
  • Control project costs, review variation orders, and manage claims.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.

4. Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as the key liaison with clients, consultants, government agencies, and internal management.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and present progress reports.
  • Resolve client issues and ensure strong project communication.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and construction standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce quality and safety standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across project teams.

6. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster teamwork.
  • Mentor and grow team members' technical and project management capabilities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-time and on-budget project delivery.
  • Compliance with quality and HSE standards.
  • Effective risk and issue resolution.
  • High client and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Efficient cost control and resource utilization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience managing building and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a project management leadership position.
  • Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale civil or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of civil, structural, M&E, and infrastructure works.
  • High attention to detail with strong financial and contract management acumen.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver in fast-paced environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
