Accounting Senior Advisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Senior Advisor to join our team in Cyberjaya.

• Monthly accounting close and  balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly accounting close includes preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements and ledger activities, and written variance analysis.
• This candidate will serve as a team lead to others in the team and provide guidance to team members on complex issues.  As a team lead, the candidate is also required to review journals and reconciliations prepared by team members
• This position will require interaction with the operations team and other financial organizations within to drive process improvements, simplification or other ad-hoc projects
• Involve in CFR (Consolidated Financial Review) analysis and fluctuation commentary
• Perform or support any Control Self Assessment and Internal Control Financial Reporting audit and testing as necessary
• Handle internal & external auditor process on statutory audits and/or quarterly reporting
• Lead the end-to-end statutory audit process, including planning, timeline management and coordination with external auditors
• Oversee preparation and review the corporate tax return in compliance with local requirement and deadlines.
• Involve in continuous process improvement and simplification project. Work closely with business partners to rectify exceptions and closes all gaps identified
• Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policy and ensure consistent process across the region and globally

• Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification
• Minimum working experience of 6+ years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC
• Excellent communication skills & proficient in English
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc). Oracle user knowledge is an added advantage.
• Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills critical thinking
• Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task
• Results oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player
• Able to lead & work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
