Job Title: Experienced Tech-Savvy Accountant/Bookkeeper

Job Description: We are looking for a meticulous and experienced accountant/bookkeeper who is proficient with modern accounting software and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a knack for leveraging technology to streamline accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Accounting:

    • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records.
    • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

  2. Bookkeeping:

    • Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.

  3. Tech-Savvy Operations:

    • Utilise advanced accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and tools for efficient bookkeeping and accounting processes.
    • Implement and manage cloud-based accounting solutions.
    • Stay updated with the latest accounting technologies and recommend improvements.
    • Familiar with data export, analysis and manipulation in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
    • Advanced user of spreadsheet formulas

  4. Compliance and Audit:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
    • Assist in audits and implement audit recommendations.

  5. Financial Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyse financial data and prepare reports to assist management in decision-making.
    • Provide insights on financial performance, trends, and variances.

  6. Tax Preparation and Planning:

    • Prepare and file tax returns.
    • Assist in tax planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar.
  • Proficiency in payroll software such as Swingvy, Kakitangan, Payroll Panda or similar.
  • Proficiency in online banking software. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
