On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator,WRSare looking for aPetrophysicist to work inKualaLumpuron a contract basis. The contract duration is up to 3 years, paying a monthly salary inMYRplus benefits. Please note: you MUST have the right to work in Malaysia and speak Malay.

Asa Petrophysicist,you will be responsible for appraisal and development assessment of appropriate areas and fields along with operational (drilling and well intervention) planning and execution forappraisal and development wells.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to company’s appraisal and development efforts.
  • Plan and manage cost-effective logging and coring programs.
  • Carry out near real-time formation evaluation in support of drilling and well intervention operations.
  • Plan, undertake and manage petrophysical studies for reservoir characterisationand volumetric resource assessment.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in the relevant field with 5 - 9 years’ experience.
  • Good knowledge of MWD/LWD, wireline logging tools and formationevaluation techniques.
  • Good IT and data management skills.
  • Familiar in evaluating vintage logs.
  • Good skills in interfacing between G & G, reservoir engineering anddrilling.
