About the Role

The Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer complements the existing AIA Group Cloud and Infrastructure Team in crafting and developing the self-service infrastructure provisioning platform. This role's focus is standardizing secure provisioning of cloud infrastructure through published catalogs, policies, and guidelines that our AIA business Units can consume.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Craft and build Terraform modules and configuration files to provision cloud resources using Terraform Cloud.
  • Craft and build Ansible playbooks for automated installation and configuration of security and monitoring agents.
  • Ensure quality through automated testing of Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks.
  • Craft and build Sentinel policies for Terraform Cloud to ensure cloud resources' configuration aligns with AIA Group policies.
  • Craft and handle integration with vaults and public cloud secrets management systems such as Azure Key Vault, Ansible Vault, etc.
  • Work with the Group Information Security to ensure compliance with all security requirements and standards, and automate the same.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure Automation.
  • Excellent understanding and shown experience in Microsoft Azure implementation, workload migration and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment.
  • Excellent understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
  • Relevant professional certifications (Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Experience in automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and automated configuration management using Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages.
  • Practical experience in supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation.
  • Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple and changing priorities, remaining flexible and open.
  • Ability to build and maintain coordinated working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
  • Be a self-starter and possess the confidence and skills to operate with and enjoy a high degree of autonomy.
