The hiring company is an international project management consultancy. As they are awarded with quite a few new projects, they are currently looking for a Resident Engineer CSA to be based in Johor to support their data centre project.

about the job

  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure adherence to program specifications and quality standards, address issues, and ensure compliance with technical standards, safety codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental protections, address and mitigate unsafe practices and impacts, and monitor compliance with health and security procedures, issuing non-conformance reports and approving corrective actions.
  • Facilitate communication among contractors, consultants, and clients, attend technical, progress, and coordination meetings, and ensure all parties are well-informed and aligned.
  • Collaborate with supervisory personnel and stakeholders to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction issues.
  • Review and approve construction records, drawings, and material submissions, prepare and submit weekly reports, stage billing projections, and value engineering studies for cost savings.
  • Assist contractors in minimising public inconvenience and obtaining necessary permits, and address delays, adverse weather, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

    skills and experience required

    • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 8 years of working experience with relevant expertise as a resident engineer.
    • Track record of project completion for data centre, factory, warehouse or manufacturing plant construction.
    • Strong communication skills and leadership qualities.
