Keep informed regarding power consumption and distribution according to requirements and comply with the PTW/Isolation Systems.
Carry out electrical isolations.
Ensure familiarity with the machinery and systems so that in an emergency situation, essential services can be safely restored.
Ensure new electrical installations are connected properly and that the equipment is suited for its location.
Inform Senior electrician of all spare part requirements.
Perform inspection, repairs, and maintenance on electrical installations.
Comply with Permit To Work System.
Participate in the client’s Competence Assurance Scheme.
Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions; get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioural extremes; perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.
From time-to-time, your immediate supervisor or his supervisor may request your assistance and assign you to do other general duties onboard the drilling rig.

QUALIFICATIONS

Timed served electrician qualifications in Electrical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE

Experience on semi-submersible or seagoing vessels.
