Responsible to/Report to : Acting Group Chief Financial Officer Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all corporate taxes,including income tax and other applicable taxes.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions for the company.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's overall tax liability.
- Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to incorporate tax implications into financial reporting and disclosure documents.
- Identify and assess potential tax risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Work with internal, external auditors and external tax consultants to support tax-related matters.
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, legal, and operations, to understand business activities and provide tax-related guidance.
- Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Provide advice and guidance on tax matters to senior management and other departments within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree orCPA qualification may be preferred.
- Has at least 6-8 years of experience in tax, with a focus on corporate taxation.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is often required.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-experts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
