Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost-effective production
  2. Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs
  3. Maintain factory uptime through day-to-day problem solving, with the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks autonomously
  4. Drive On-Time-Delivery while balancing freight cost via effective VOC with internal customers
  5. Leverage Kaizens and Lean manufacturing principles to surge or rescale factory capacity from S&OP signals and triggers
  6. Coordinate with regional procurement teams on PPV and localization initiatives
  7. Ensure efficient manufacturing through achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer and company standards, and requirements
  8. Plan, define, and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions
  9. Responsible for managing and implementing projects of varying complexity and scope
  10. Ensure integrity of existing manufacturing documents and take ownership of creating new manufacturing documentation
  11. Perform routine product teardowns and process audits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5S, SW, PSP, SMED, VRK, OEE, TPM, etc.) a plus
  • Proven problem-solving aptitude using various tools and techniques
  • Leadership experience within a team, project, or job
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results
  • Comfortable working problems of moderate scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • SolidWorks and/or Pro Engineer (ProE) experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings required
  • Experience working in a metric/goal-driven environment
  • Hands-on approach/experience with manufacturing processes preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effectively able to present information and respond to feedback at any level within the global organization
