  • Boost Credit - Formerly Aspirasi, it houses the micro-financing & micro-insurance business and is a pioneering Digital Alternative financier in Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • Boost Connect - Formerly Apigate, Boost Connect is a global digital monetization and customer growth payment platform ecosystem provider with innovative products and services.
  • Boost Indonesia - Formerly Aspirasi Indonesia, is providing micro-financing business and digital merchant business for various sizes of enterprises (formerly Boost Indonesia) in Indonesia.

The Head of Financial Reporting is primarily accountable and responsible for overall accuracy, completeness, timeliness and integrity of statutory and management reporting of Boost Holdings Group and its entities. A key contributor to internal and external audit initiatives.

Support the CFO in all aspects of finance undertakings, which includes but not limited to special projects, process overhaul/optimization, Board/BAC materials and advise on technical accounting issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper and relevant accounting policies in line with IFRS, MFRS, Axiata and BHSB accounting policies
  • Ensure accurate and efficient monthly & quarterly closing of financial statements and reporting – helping to drive actions through analysis, commercial reasoning, and business rationale from financial perspective
  • Manage the timely and accurate amalgamation & consolidation of Group financial results
  • Preparation of analysis material and reports for Board of Directors (BOD), Shareholders / Investors and other key Stakeholders
  • Support all Budget & Forecasting activities for the Group
  • Support the CFO in managing the ERP system
  • Ensure high standards of corporate governance and transparency with stakeholders
  • Drive process standardization and optimization to eliminate inefficiency. Syndicate feedback from stakeholders and design scalable solutions to support controllership and add value throughout entire chain of finance processes
  • Key liaison person with internal and external auditors to ensure audit objectives are achieved in an orderly and timely manner
  • Promote adequate accounting competence and knowledge among internal stakeholders and finance team
  • Bring a strategic mindset toward discovering opportunities and identifying recommendations to enhance finance and business processes
  • Perform self-inspection on work areas and implement measures to ensure compliance to accounting practices, policies, and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
  • Member of recognized professional accounting body, i.e. MIA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW or equivalent
  • 10+ years of progressive hands-on operational finance and audit experience, preferably in a large conglomerate with diversified businesses. Experience in a public listed company will be highly advantageous
  • Hands on experience in managing Finance, Accounting & Consolidation for a Group of companies in an ERP environment
  • Familiar with major ERP systems
  • Proven timely execution track record
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data to help achieve strategic and operational goals
  • Results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
  • Must have strong business judgment and excellent project management skills
  • High detail and process-oriented, data-driven with strong analytical abilities
