Business

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of management information.
  • Provide value added analysis on the daily/monthly business performance by providing in-depth data analytics on clients and business performance. 
  • Assist in the preparation and submission and monitoring of budget, forecast and business plans.
  • Ensure compliance to Financial Control Policies.
  • Manage and supervise the performance of GBS team.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and enhancement of Financial Markets information systems or any other TP systems implemented by Group.
  • Jointly work with other Business Finance to support CIB related matters where input is required.
  • To work with business teams to develop, manage and conduct financial analysis /modelling / product development/investment to support business initiatives / growth plans.
  • Responsibility also extends to activities supporting SCSB and other SCB related entities (where applicable).  

Processes

  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Work with Business to prepare, plan and translate the business strategies and plans into financially achievable numbers during annual budget process
  • Work with Business to prepare forecast reviews and submission to Group Finance 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting 

  • Prepare accurate and timely local and group management information reports 
  • Ensure accounting matters for business are in accordance with the acceptable accounting practices and group accounting policies 
  • Perform analytical review on business performance and prepare business commentary
  • Analyse profitability of the business based on various product dynamics/drivers and staff productivity to provide value-added advice and insight to business for decision making.
  • Cost Management – coordinate PARs/Concept Paper approval process, perform cost analysis 
  • Monitor and review Accrued Expenditure reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly financials and KPIs submission to Group Finance

Business & Strategic Planning 

  • Prepare financial modelling and projections for business plan
  • Contribute to projects affecting CCIB aimed at enhancing profitability, efficiency and productivity of business activities / operations

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with the Group Management Reporting guidelines, Group Accounting policy, Financial Control policy and local regulations

People & Talent

  • Manage relationship with GBS India colleagues including training where necessary.
