Job Description SummaryFacilities Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems critical to the manufacturing and building operations. Experienced maintenance professional possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and utility equipment issues with minimal guidance or supervision. Drive best practice daily through high standards of engineering, compliance and HS&E standards.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and utility equipment/ systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair of manufacturing and utility equipment/systems such as pumps, motors, control valves and cylinder.

  • Provide support in the service, repair and maintenance of all facilities including compressor, chiller, Fire prevention system, and HVAC.

  • Ensure maintenance work done comply to local regulatory, corporate safety and industrial standards.

  • Able to provide simple report on downtime and ensure action follow up to prevent recurrence of breakdowns.

  • Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current.

  • Support the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in the identification and procurement of parts required for maintenance.

  • Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.

  • Assist Engineers in carrying out engineering evaluations/experiments/ troubleshooting.

  • Provide feedback and give suggestions to improve equipment stability and performance.

  • Ensure that maintenance cover for production areas is provided at all times by demonstrating flexibility regarding working overtime to provide cover for holidays, sick leave, shutdown periods, busy periods and as required.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the production and maintenance support areas.

  • Service, diagnose and rectify faulty electrical and mechanical components and air-conditioning equipment

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

  • Use processes such as cutting, grinding, spotting, painting, hand finish, shaping, bending, drilling, reaming, tapping, wiring, plumbing, lay-up, welding, inspection, set-up, operate all types of fabrication and measurement equipment and machine tools required to fabricate.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Min Qualification: Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a building/facilities maintenance technician within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Ability and willingness to work off/varied shift/weekends, as required.

  • Preferable have professional license or certification in one of the following areas; Electrician, HVAC, Plumber/Pipefitter, Automation/Controls, Machining, Welding.

  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft word & excel applications.

  • Basic knowledge in PLC and its trouble shooting will be added advantage.

  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
