Description

The Senior QA will work closely with the QA Lead and Testing team to provide core testing coverage for all types of Test plans along with overall task leadership.

Your main responsibilities include testing both the game and supporting tools, helping analyze the scope of titles in development for QA test planning assistance, and covering more complex and detailed testing of titles. Your job also includes creating basic to intermediate level test suites for the testing team and taking ownership of team tasks to conduct thorough QA coverage.

Key Accountabilities
  • Bug Reporting: Able to isolate bugs observed during Testing on their own and can clearly write it into QA format using JIRA or other tools. Bug Report should have 90% accuracy.
  • Test Suite Management: To create test suites based on different features and game mechanics used in the title. To achieve 70% documentation of Test cases from various systems implemented in the title.
  • Test Planning: Help lead in achieving accurate test planning for Development milestones. To draft estimations for Basic to mid-level systems.
  • Risk Assessments: Perform periodic risk assessments of delay in compliance guidelines implementations at different phases of development.
  • Documentation: Can write documentation of all test processes, feature testing, and QA tools using MS Office or Confluence.
Key Competencies
  • Test Methodologies Expertise: Should have experience and knowledge of all crucial test methodologies required during different phases of testing like – Unit testing, Regression testing, Smoke testing, Performance testing, and compatibility testing, SIT and UAT.
  • Platform Knowledge: Should have good knowledge on platform-related operations like – Front end interface of consoles, Save system, Network operations, etc. Platform Compliance knowledge is a plus.
  • Communications: Should be able to maintain effective communication between Team members and with production team members on all sorts of QA activities and build status.
  • Troubleshoot: Ability to properly troubleshoot issues and identify the cause and possible solution of small and basic bottlenecks from the team and during personal testing.
  • Test Tools Knowledge: Should have operational knowledge to work on JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, Test Rail, etc.
  • Game Engine Experience: Should be able to run packages on Unreal Engine or Unity Engine and perform basic operations like log capturing, debug operations, placement changes, etc. Unit testing automations is a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum Testing: Should have knowledge and experience in conducting test validations over scrum models.
