Job Description

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the R&D team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the R&D department.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of food scientists, technologists, and researchers.

Product Development:
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization.
  • Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Translate consumer insights into innovative and commercially viable food products.

R&D Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and market demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Operations to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Act as a liaison between R&D and other departments to align product development efforts with organizational goals.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all products meet regulatory and quality standards, staying up-to-date with industry regulations and certifications.

Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the R&D budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve strategic objectives.

Project Management:
  • Implement project management best practices to ensure timely and successful completion of R&D initiatives.

A foundation in Food Science is paramount, complemented by a substantial track record of leadership in R&D roles within the food industry. This practical experience is a testament to their ability to navigate the complexities of product development and bring innovative ideas to fruition.
