Our client is a Project Management Consultancy with a strong portfolio in the Malaysian market, highly focusing on various type of building projects. They have several projects across Malaysia and are seeking a suitable candidate to join them, primarily overseeing commercial and contract management for their data center projects, to be based in Klang Valley.

about the job
This role is primarily be tasked with commercial and contract management, leading the successful delivery of large or logistically challenging project.

  • Prepare bill of quantities, taking-off, and cost estimates for and prepare for tender submission/quotation.
  • Prepare variation order cost and finalise project accounts together with the Project Department.
  • Prepare claims and obtain approvals from Clients or Consultants.
  • Liaise with Clients, Consultants, and authorities on all aspects of tender.
  • Prepare project budgetary and comparison in terms of tender and sub-contract works.
  • Prepare subcontractors and suppliers & work package tender.
  • Prepare monthly progress claims and payment recommendations to the Management.
  • Compile all the costing files and summaries to Post-Contract Negotiation / Awarding Committee for final negotiations once the projects is secured.

    about the manager/team

    You will be reporting to the Head of Contact and working with a team of Quantity Surveyors.

    skills and experience required

    • Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant.
    • Experience in Data center projects is a must.
    • Able to work under effectively under pressure and manage time-lines accordingly.
