Job Description
  • Ensure the food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Maintain updated store inventory records and control wastage of food or ingredients.
  • Suggest new menu items based on seasonality and customer feedback.
  • Exhibit energy and persistence to see tasks through to successful completion and be able to work additional hours when necessary.
  • Greet customers, present menus, and explain daily specials.
  • Provide the perfect service experience for every Guest.
  • Ensure the Guest feels important and welcome in the cafe.
  • Ensure hot beverages are hot and cold beverages are cold.
  • Adhere to timing standards for products and services.
  • Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding beverages.
  • Remove dirty dishes and glasses, and clean tables after customers finish meals.
  • Prepare itemized checks and take payments from customers.
  • Answer phones, prepare reports as necessary, and participate in staff meetings.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the superior/management from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress.
  • Food safety training is a plus.
  • Computer literate with word processing, database, spreadsheet, and Internet research skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese in both writing and speaking; any other language(s) would be considered an additional asset.
