Job Description

In this position you will....

...be providing pricing expertise, guidance, recommendations, and implementation of pricing strategies with senior business stakeholders, Business Development, Commercial and Digital Product, Underwriting, Finance and IT development teams. You will also be supporting Head of Pricing in seeking and/or providing pricing approval in accordance with the internal risk management framework of delegated pricing authorities - Device Protection CEO, CFO and Chief Product Officer. You will lead new commercial and/or optimization projects, support other strategic pricing projects such as but not limited to new country launch, new product launch (Early Upgrade Program, and pricing for refurbished devices).

You will be responsible for...
Leading, managing and providing guidance to pricing team members in:
  • Examining and assessing data from a variety of sources, ranging from competitors pricing data to customer segment profiles and cost data. Leveraging knowledge or prior experience to assess and update pricing assumptions, evaluate pricing strategies and to develop, present and defend logical conclusions, recommendations, and implementation strategies/plans
  • Performing claims experience study using generalised linear models, regression, and other advanced statistical methodologies. Contributing to the team's actuarial capability development and actuarial knowledge base through feeding back best practices and statistical analysis tools and techniques
  • Collaborating with the relevant stakeholders to understand the product requirements, align interest, solve the right problem to manage performance and add-value to business
  • Developing, reviewing, and improving pricing models, framework, design, control, create business cases for new products and enhancements to existing products, such as early upgrade programs, trade-in value proposition, pricing for refurbished devices
  • Identifying of opportunities to improve product, pricing, and cost to achieve sales, revenue, and profit growth
  • Maintaining in depth knowledge of partner businesses, product offerings and Device Protection development and General Insurance space in the global markets
  • Implementing new commercial and/or optimization projects and execution

You will require the following qualifications and skills

  • Candidate must possess University education or above majored in actuarial sciences or equivalent and Actuarial Fellowship qualification
  • At least 10+ years' relevant experience in insurance pricing or product functions with advanced modelling skills
  • Proven experience in project management and supervisory capabilities
  • Must have strong mathematical skill and the ability to provide solutions to business queries in large data sets
  • Must be self-motivated, organised and able to meet deadlines with assignments
  • Experience in developing and presenting recommendations related to product/pricing actions
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a 'networked' structure that leverages multiple 'Center of Excellence' and experts
  • Excellent communication skills in writing, verbal communication and presentation; of connecting with multiple stakeholders and articulating lines of reasoning
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
