Responsibilities:

  1. Merchandising Updates: Execute the merchandising strategy in all the outlets to ensure the highest standard of display practices, creating a seamless and engaging shopping environment. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as designers and operations teams, to maintain effective merchandising practices.
  2. Visual Display: Ensure floor layouts are merchandised following company guidelines. Manage in-store props and mannequins to uphold a high standard of visual presentation. Stay current with industry trends and provide feedback on competitive activities.
  3. Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and develop effective merchandising strategies that resonate with the target market. Present findings to inform decision-making.
  4. New Store Opening Assistance: Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the merchandising setup for the grand opening of new stores, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  5. Off-Season Event Support: Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and design teams to create visual displays tailored to the venue requirements and themes of promotional events.
  6. Installation and Supervision: Oversee the installation and arrangement of window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store displays. Supervise external contractors hired for merchandising purposes, ensuring quality and consistency.
  7. Consistency and Uniformity: Maintain consistency and uniformity of displays across multiple store locations, ensuring a cohesive brand image.
  8. Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current visual merchandising trends and best practices, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
  9. Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any additional duties as assigned by superiors to support the overall success of the warehouse.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Business, or a related field, OR a minimum of three years of experience in the merchandising/retail management industry (experience in sports or lifestyle businesses is a plus).
  2. Possession of own transportation with the ability to travel across the Klang Valley to various outlets.
  3. Strong understanding of the merchandising/retail industry, with the ability to drive category growth in alignment with the overall company strategy.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or related analytical tools.
  5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills; an analytical mindset is essential.
  6. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
