Job Description


Job Summary: The Hotel Credit Manager plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the hotel, particularly the credit and collections processes. This position is responsible for ensuring that the hotel's credit policies are followed, guest accounts are accurately maintained, and timely collections are made to maintain a healthy financial outlook.


Key Responsibilities:

Credit Policy Management:

Develop and maintain the hotel's credit policies and procedures in compliance with company standards and industry best practices. Assess and approve credit applications and establish credit limits for guests and corporate accounts.

Billing and Invoicing:

Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of guest invoices and statements. Verify the correctness of charges, adjustments, and discounts on guest accounts.

Collections Management:

Monitor outstanding accounts and implement collection strategies to minimize delinquent accounts. Communicate with guests and corporate clients to resolve billing disputes and outstanding balances. Initiate legal action or third-party collections when necessary.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable, aging analysis, and credit risk assessments for hotel management.

Guest Relations:

Provide excellent customer service when addressing guest inquiries or concerns related to billing and credit matters.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with the finance department, front desk, and reservations teams to ensure seamless communication regarding guest billing and credit information.

Compliance and Records Management:

Ensure compliance with local regulations and legal requirements related to credit and collections. Maintain accurate and organized records of credit applications, approvals, and collections activities.

Work Experience
Previous experience in a similar capacity with a five star hotel. Strong decision making skills. Effective communication skills. Multi lingual skill is an advantage. Ability to work well in high pressure situation.
