A process engineer who is responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the overall execution of manufacturing setups and release for NPI.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

Responsible to manage New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing readiness (machining & assembly), build plan and progress monitoring. 

To lead SOP (Start of Production) readiness for all internal manufacturing processes and equipment.

Involve in product and process design review with Project Management / Business Units including process procedures, test equipment, data collections methods for plant manufacturing operations.

Conducts meetings with Cross Functional Team (CFT) for DFMA proposal, jig & fixture, Tooling, Programming, Process, Inspection metrology and Packaging method development. 

Provide technical feedback and review prototype result with the team, provide correction and improvement plans

To ensure manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities are established based on project schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information.

Collaborate with Industrial Engineer to ensure Lean manufacturing concept start from the initial setup of mass production

Ensure process documentations such as Work Instructions, Packing Instructions are established in line with company procedure and hand over all information to production for mass production.

Deploy / share best practices across plant when applicable

Leading the coordination for RFQ investment proposals of In-house manufacturing products. Work together with related Process Owners for new product feasibility study, cycle time estimation and investment cost. 

Lead change management activities by executing implementation of engineering changes for NPI products.

Be the subject matter expert in NPI engineering processes for in-house production for machining and assembly.

Support daily tasks as given by Management.

Minimum Qualification :

1-2 years of working experience in project management for NPI in manufacturing industry

Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Electromechanical or Metal Fabrication)

Proficient in English

Preferred Qualification :

Prefer 4 years of experience in project management for NPI in manufacturing industry

Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Electromechanical or Metal Fabrication)

Prefer experience in CNC/precision machining and mechanical assembly industries

Self-driven, aggressive, dynamic, innovative and result-oriented team player

Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing

Experienced with production line/workstation setup & handover process

Experience with Microsoft Projects

PMP Certifications will be an added advantage

Practical LEAN Manufacturing background 

Six sigma, 8D or other equivalent problem solving skills and certification is an added advantage
