Sustainability Executive

Sustainability EXECUTIVE Based in: Sandakan, Sabah Responsibilities - To strategize, implement, monitor and review the environmental management plan, impact & aspect and continuous improvement plans for the operations.- To monitor the operational environmental performances in accordance to legal requirement and sustainability requirements.- To conduct scheduled internal audit and surveillance visits to operating units in ensuring compliance with certification requirements and sustainability commitments in relation to the environmental aspects.- To formulate and conduct relevant environmental training programme for operating units, and organize environmental outreach program to local communities and schools.- To coordinate and monitor the implementation of high conservation areas management plan for the operating units, including the status of ERT in the operating units.- To plan, coordinate and monitor the rehabilitation/remediation projects for the selected conservation sites.- To work with GIS team in identifying any deforestation and encroachment activities at the HCV areas or concession areas, as well as the neighbouring forest reserves.- To identify and monitor the incidents of fire through online monitoring tools and ground verification.- To coordinate with external party (NGOs, local academy and governmental bodies) in conducting environmental related research activities. Requirements - Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Environmental Science or related discipline from recognised university.- Related working experience or research background in conducting EIA, HCV assessment, biodiversity research and management, forest management.- Able to speak and write fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia.- Able to work in field and travel extensively to the operating centres.- Positive attitude in learning and able to work in team.- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
