The Job

Your responsibilities will include:

Conveyancing:

  • Handle sale and purchase agreements (including developer projects and sub-sale);
  • Handle all loan documentation for end-financing;
  • Handle all other conveyancing matters such as tenancy agreements, perfection of transfer and charge, discharge of charge/receipt and reassignment, and etc;
  • Liaise with clients, banks and relevant authorities in government departments;
  • Monitor the progress of clients' files, to maintain and update file status on our operation system;
  • To administer files and maintain correspondences and documents in a proper filing system.


Corporate and Commercial:

  • Providing legal advice and support in corporate transactions;
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, agreements, and other legal documents;
  • Assisting in the formation and dissolution of companies, partnerships, and other business entities;
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and other business-related meetings; and
  • Collaborating with the litigation department to handle any disputes or legal issues arising in corporate and commercial matters.


Litigation:

  • Assisting in all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents;
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries and legal arguments;
  • Liaising with clients to provide updates on case progress and strategy;
  • Assisting in settlement negotiations and exploring alternative dispute resolution methods; and
  • Supporting the senior litigation team in various aspects of case management.

The Profile

  • You possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in law and possess a valid Practicing Certificate.
  • You have good command of English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia in order to be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region. 
  • You possess a good attitude, self-motivated, responsible, willing to learn, and able to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision.

The firm currently consists of 3 partners, 5 legal associates and 20 other paralegal supporting staff. All their partners have vast experience in conveyancing and corporate and 2 of the partners have been practicing for more than 22 years.
