Engineer ISTK Support

TASK DESCRIPTION

Leading Function

Lead the engineering and planning topics for the Electrical & Electronic (EE) topics for Assembly Lines and EoL/Finish Line by developing and establishing accurate operation environment with approved processes from MBAG
Lead as technical expertise in the assigned area of responsibilities and extending the knowledge for overall business growth
Lead the EE topics during new model introduction and support Assembly Line work package leader

Managing Engineering Function

Execute the provision of adequate EE-related technical details on documentation for product and process i.e. technical specification, work instruction, technical alteration etc.
Prepare, update and issue EE-related technical alteration and information to the Assembly Line processes as well as conduct technical briefing on the changes
Perform systematic change management (MAN, METHOD, MACHINE, MATERIAL and ENVIRONMENT) for effective control monitoring of technical details
Perform ongoing technical evaluations and actively involved in the investigations of customer complaints, then initiate appropriate corrective and preventive actions
Safeguard the information and intellectual property of the products and processes, by protecting the confidentiality, ensuring integrity and maintaining availability

Managing Planning Function

Propose applicable investment plan on yearly basis for the EE operations – new technologies, new options, new models requirement, special training and budget controlling
Organize, manage, coordinate and maintain applicable Total Productive Maintenance programs and protect the physical assets of the company
Engage in relevant operational meetings – feedback and propose constructive problem solving approach (temporary/long term solution) to ensure smooth production flow
Understand the company and government regulations that affect manufacturing systems and ensure the EE-related topics in the Assembly Line is operating in good compliance with applicable laws, ordinance, regulations and requirement

MPS, Continuous Improvement and Training Function

Support the performance of EE-related topics in the Assembly Line through ongoing verification and analysis of MPS, and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Initiate measures and perform the role for continuous improvement activities in processes in line with manufacturing systems
Coordinate EE-related training for new model introduction and support skill improvement for both internal and external parties

Liaison and Business Function

Establish/maintain good contact and network between MBM, MBAG and CKD plants worldwide by having regular interactions in regard to work related matters
Establish/maintain good business relationship within MBM and relevant external parties to promote continuous business growth
Maintain the business relations (internal and external) towards profitable growth of the company and personal

General Function

Prepare, update and submit technical report whenever required
Deliver results on the assigned tasks in time and good quality
Accept full responsibilities of all tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirement

Education level / Training

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics / Automotive / Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience (type of)

Minimum 3 years of working experience in engineering or production engineering function with high planning capacity

Specific knowledge/ Skill

Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Team player with ability to motivate team and promote teamwork

Experience in production engineering standard methods, MPS and planning/managing processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, experience in SAP
