What you will do

If successful, you will be part of the Safety Relief department, ExxonMobil Pressure Relief and Flare Center of Excellence. You will contribute to the protection of our coworkers, communities and environment by finding and mitigating overpressure risks in an open, innovative and collaborative environment with high quality, capital efficient safety relief review analyses.

We are looking for an experienced individual who will play a key role in the technical design decisions we take. Key deliverables include:

Develop unit and flare Safety Relief Reviews (SRRs), which is an engineering evaluation of the safety systems (, PSVs, PVVs, Blowdown etc.) that keep our process facilities safe  Consult and provide technical quality assurance (TQA) of site performed SRR work. Propose cost-effective mitigations to SRR findings. Participate in Risk Assessments with Process Safety.

About you

Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must:

Have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering specialty4 years minimum experience in Process Design or Safety Relief Knowledgeable/familiar with the codes / standards such as API 520, API 521, API 526, API 2000, ASME Sec 8 Experience in performing overpressure/flare analysis Hands on experience with Pro II, HYSYS or other process simulation tools Be able to demonstrate the following:

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers
o Innovative and analytical thinking
o Intellectual rigor, strong drive, and desire to lead change

Ability to work in a multi-cultural global team

 
Preference will be given to those with the following additional skills / abilities:

Ability to manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities Working knowledge of data infrastructure, pipelines, and data integration processes to understand data access issues An appreciation of data science and machine learning applications and the related data requirements)
