As our new BIM Modeler (Civil & Structure), you will be part of the larger multi-disciplinary MEAP region. The BIM Modeler will play a crucial role in the development and coordination of accurate and comprehensive digital representations of building projects using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality BIM models that enhance the design, construction, and maintenance of various projects.. Your role is based in Penang, Malaysia where you will work within a diverse Civil/Structure Engineering Design team and the SMART Building team. You will be involved on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors in Asia, as part of the larger Ramboll Group.

Your primary duties and responsibilities will involve:

BIM Modeling: Create and maintain 3D models of buildings, structures, and related components using BIM software (such as Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, or Bentley MicroStation). Develop detailed, accurate, and organized BIM models that encompass architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical elements. Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure accurate representation of project requirements and design intent in BIM models. Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to address clashes and discrepancies among different building systems within the BIM environment. Information Integration: Integrate relevant project data, specifications, and documentation into the BIM model to facilitate accurate project visualization and data sharing. Manage and update BIM libraries, families, and templates to enhance modeling efficiency and consistency. Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry standards and best practices. Identify and rectify model discrepancies, conflicts, and errors in collaboration with the project team. Documentation: Generate 2D drawings, plans, sections, and elevations from the 3D BIM models for construction documentation and coordination purposes. Maintain comprehensive documentation of model changes, updates, and revisions over the course of the project. Project Support: Provide technical support to project teams by assisting in the resolution of BIM-related issues and challenges. Contribute to the development and implementation of BIM execution plans and standards for projects.

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalence Solid understanding of BIM software and tools is crucial. Proficiency software platform like Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD or others BIM software used in your industry is essential to effectively create, manage and manipulate BIM models. An depth knowledge of the architecture, engineering and construction industry necessary to accurately model building components, systems and processes within BIM environment. Standards Knowledge of technical software such as SAP2000, sketch-up, STAAD Pro, Robot, CAD, Revit, E20 preferred. Proficient with MS Office (Work, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint);
