2. To apply business analytical techniques to help the Regional Sales team understand where their activities can add most value. Tune standard approaches to yield tailored reports that analyse the dynamics and issues within the Region. (E.g. Generate regional sales Value Analysis via cash margin, variable contribution analysis and price execution analysis. Each region will face specific challenges and the analyst must enhance and tune the regional analysis to address the key issues. In Europe the domestic market mix must optimise both margin and volumes, whilst exports will optimise on margin; in NAFTA and APAC they must assess best use of imported products).

3. Interpret and extrapolate information to generate options and "what if" scenarios for consideration by the Sales regional management. Following preparation of up-to-date value analyses, the job holder will highlight the choices to be made and suggest tactics to optimise and improve the customer mix. E.g., Pan-regional solutions and options, rather than within-territory optimisation. Extrapolating YTD performance and future plans to predict likely sales performance.

4. To develop, monitor, update and champion the Sales Plan for the Region on behalf of the Regional Sales Director. This will include collation of the regional APO sales forecast for validation with the Regional Sales Director and extrapolating current performance to identify shortfalls and proposing options to the RSD and Sales Team to close performance gaps. Job holder will be responsible for providing regular updates to the Global Sales VP and Group Marketing.

5. Provide overviews of regional accounts for the Regional Sales Director and Territory Sales Directors as required to support Sales negotiations. The job holder is expected to have sufficient knowledge of customer accounts, requirements, and geography to be able to provide appropriate and meaningful customer account comparisons and options.

6. Provide regular operational sales reports to the Sales team. E.g. Monthly performance by territory, country, application; weekly transactional order monitoring and price reports aligned to Account Manager areas. Track sales to customers within the month and alert any issues vs targets and contracts to Account Managers / Territory Sales Directors.

7. Coordinate and review nominated master data for the region on an on-going basis. This will include ensuring completion of new customer creation template, coordination of the regular monthly pricing review by the sales team. Organising review and update of master data categories in line with TSSC service requirements / business improvement targets (e.g. collection of electronic contact details from customers, sectors and customer categories).

8. Train and coach the Regional Sales Team in new marketing and sales analytical approaches and the local Sales Assistant to carry out routine reporting support activities (e.g. issuing regular order and price monitor reports to Account Managers).

9. Investigate and resolve data accuracy and comparability issues within the region, liaising with Global Sales and Marketing Analyst for adjustments to reports, and OTC Business Process Owner to resolve underlying transactional issues.

10. Prepare document and organise customer contracts in line with agreements in line with Account Manager requirements.

11. To update and maintain accurately customers’ sales data such as: prices, rebates, commission, payment terms in SAP.
