UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation. 

About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

You will be involved in Customer Management and Compliance and be responsible for understanding business requirements and translating them to functional specifications and technical design specification. Key objective is to ensure good quality and smooth delivery of system enhancements that are fully in compliance with mandated framework and guidelines. You will be expected to partner closely with the Customer Management and Compliance leads to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.

Other responsibilities include:

Participate in application and solution design sessions Work closely with the business analyst, infra, deployments and vendor teams Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design documents Develop system documentation to capture key design decisions Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive. Execute continuous service improvement and process improvement plans Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance. Create technical documents for the solutions. Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested Perform design and development of applications according to change requests and project requirements Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance Functional experience in any of the (Credit Origination/Loan/Card/Credit Scoring/Credit Risk) in retail or in corporate

Job Requirements

Degree with 8+ years of current, hands on analysis experience Detail-oriented, highly innovative  General understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance Experience of complete software development lifecycles – waterfall and agile project experience Experienced in functional specification and data mapping. Able to detail out functional specification based on user requirements. In-depth knowledge in Credit Origination business process and workflow for retail and corporate domain. In-depth knowledge in Credit Origination system functionalities and interfaces to other banking systems, and/or external bureau. Strong analytical / problem solving / process design skills Hands-on experience in database access, querying, data analysis skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate / influence / persuade with various stakeholders Strong team building, interpersonal and collaboration skills Ability to multi task and perform well under pressure

Exposure to micro-services, Java, JIRA and confluence Added advantage with Unix OS and Oracle DB experience
