WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Counsel and support BCG.X digital and data analytics businesses on all commercial aspects with a particular focus on AI and data analytics offerings and shaping BCG.X's GTM in India and South East Asia
  • Serve as champion of BCG.X contracting and risk management standards; including other policies and processes and provide assistance to seek approvals or escalations;
  • Provide general counselling and management of a full spectrum of business and legal issues for BCG.X projects and serve as the "go to person" for BCG.X lead projects across South East Asia and India
  • Review and negotiate a wide array of complex commercial agreements, including global master services agreements, other client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, subcontractor and partnership agreements and nondisclosure agreements; technology transactional matters and variable pricing agreements;
  • Be experienced in quickly and independently redlining and customdrafting legal documents;
  • Identify risks and issues; and keep ahead of the emerging regulatory landscape in the region for AI and data analytic offerings;
  • Team successfully across BCG and integrate fully into BCG's Global Legal Team to resolve or support resolution of complex legal issues;
  • Act as bridge and point of contact between BCG.X stakeholders and functions and business for resolving legal issues;
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining Legal Team knowhow, templates, technology solutions, and other key enablers;
  • Managing and directing consulting teams to ensure compliance with privacy laws including General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR) and data security;
  • Performing other duties as assigned or required.


In all cases, BCG's Legal Counsel will be an exceptional lawyer, able to efficiently deliver high quality work, and will have substantial experience effectively advising on and negotiating large commercial programs by deploying a strategic, outcome-based perspective to transactions.


YOU'RE GOOD AT:

  • Advising on IP and patent rights matters ideally with a focus on data analytics businesses, including data sourcing, cloud computing or similar
  • Superior analytical skills and creative problemsolving ability, with an appreciation for striking a practical balance between business and legal objectives;
  • Ability to work across jurisdictions and countries and successfully navigate cultural differences
  • Talent for absorbing new skill sets and areas of expertise quickly and comfortably and the flexibility to deal with a diverse international set of clients and advisors;
  • The ability to quickly comprehend complex sets of international laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of BCG's global policies;
  • A positive, dynamic, clientfocused approach to legal practice;
  • Perform successfully and produce results in a fastpaced, intellectually intense, clientoriented environment;
  • Be a pragmatic, highenergy professional, with personal and professional selfconfidence; and
  • Have the interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships throughout a loosely structured organization;
  • Deploying and driving large scale legal change efforts, influencing stakeholders and ensuring ongoing awareness and compliance with contracting policies;
  • Be comfortable at assessing, presenting and mitigating legal risks;
  • Ability to handle highpressure situations.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Graduate degree (J.D.) in Law from an accredited law school and admitted to practice;
  • 810 years of commercial contracting experience with a proven experience in IP and patent rights matters ideally with a focus on data analytics businesses, including data sourcing, cloud computing or similar
  • 5+ years with a reputable law firm preferable; prior relevant inhouse experience preferred;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • English fluency; other languages a plus.

YOU'LL WORK WITH:

A variety of cohorts and functions across the company, including senior leadership. Members of the BCG Global Legal team, Finance and the Partnership. You will report into the Commercial group within the Legal Team.
