JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. SUMMARY OF FUNCTION

  • Assisting Team Leader Propulsion Workshop to performs handson MRO Level 4 Depot Workshop tasks include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, parts requisitioning, repair, assembly, and testing.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

2.1
Overall duties/ responsibilities:

Ensure that all task/ work is done in a safe and professionals manner;
Ensure that all maintenance entries on maintenance job card and work orders are properly executed;
Uses and understands component maintenance manuals and other repair specifications;
Executing maintenance tasks include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, parts requisitioning, repair, assembly, and testing;
Ensure that proper tooling and equipment is utilized, calibrated, and in good working order for the maintenance task being accomplished;
Ensure no defective, non-conformed, or unworthy parts are installed in any component or assembly;
Identifies problems and recommends solutions to Team Leader/ Superior;
Always working together with the other teams/ supervisors for ongoing improvements and better implementations strategies.

Workshop setup, preparation, and work processes:

Assisting Team Leader in preparation and executing work processes in maintenance line based on job card and manuals;
Ascertain that the assigned maintenance line has appropriate parts, supplies, and tooling and to report back any inconsistencies or shortage;

To provide continuous feedback and troubleshooting steps to Assistant Engineer/ Engineer to fix the problems/ processes in maintenance line.

Depot Workshop/ Workplace housekeeping:

Keep the depot/ workshop looking clean and organized;
Adhered to work standards and procedures for depot/ maintenance line;
Perform good housekeeping practices with respect to the parts area and the timely processing of parts disposition.

Safety:

Attend toolbox briefing without fail;
Promote and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with all company Safety Procedures;
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

Others:

To carry out any other duties/ tasks assigned whenever necessary.

3. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
3.1
Mandatory requirements
Certificate of any Engineering discipline from any recognized University;
Familiar with railways operational and engineering terms;
Deep technical understanding and capabilities in bogie structural component design.

3.2
Desirable requirements
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - with design/ structural specialization;
Independent, positive thinking and able to work as a team.

4. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
4.1 Familiar with railways depot environment;
4.2 Must have exceptional interpersonal skills to interface effectively with cross functional teams;
4.3 Must have at least basic computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office;
4.4 Behavioral -Creativity self-motivated, goal-oriented, confident, flexible, adaptable to a fast-working environment, work well with others to meet deadlines.

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay:
RM1, RM3,000.00 per month
