Primary Objective:


Assist CEO, RHB Asset Management in providing legal and compliance support to internal stakeholders as well as ensuring there are adequate controls and processes in place to comply with the regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on compliance related matters.
  • Provide advice on the rights and obligations of the Company and other issues arising from business activities.
  • Draft contracts and other legal documents.
  • Ensure business activities are in line with legal requirements through robust periodic reviews.
  • Liaise with external counsel on legal documents, legal implications and disputes. Review advice given by and documents prepared by external legal counsel.
  • Liaise with other external stakeholders including the Monetary Authority of Singapore and auditors.
  • Provide legal updates including dissemination and analysis of new and/or revised laws and regulations.
  • Implement internal policies and processes related to legal and compliance.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders' policies and processes are in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate significant observations and regulatory breaches to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Prepare annual work plan in relation to legal and compliance functions
  • Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree - Law.

  • Preferably with legal and audit or compliance experience in related industry
