The ASP DBS COO Office Centre of Excellence is designed to provide support to all market COO offices across Asia, covering key areas such as governance, regulatory, risks, financials, strategy planning, management information, Third Party Risk Management and systems.
The Opportunity:
The role holder will be responsible for assisting with governance and secretariat activities across the markets and region, providing oversight and proactive follow-ups as required.
The role holder should be able to provide support on senior governance forums in the region as needed, including agenda preparation, meeting calendar coordination, consolidation of inputs from multiple teams, writing minutes and etc.
The role holder should have fungible skills to perform tasks across other risk domains including third-party risk management and regulatory reporting.
What you'll do:
Impact on the Business/Function
- Establish and maintain regular engagement with onshore Heads of Operational Management and Head of Performance Services/ Chief Administration Office to ensure tasks are adequately delivered and all components and domains of governance are supported.
- Deliver all tasks within the stipulated timeframe and agreed deadlines, while maintaining the appropriate accuracy and quality.
- Proactively identify opportunity for improvement in wayofworking, automation, streamlining procedures and continual enhancement to the endtoend processes.
Customers / Stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with all markets and regional Governance Managers, Head of Operational Management, Head of Performance Services/ Chief Administration Office, Third Party risk Management Managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with diverse spectrum of stakeholders.
- Active Followup with stakeholders on regular basis to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Leadership & Teamwork
- A team player and be a key member of the team to embrace and drive different ideas and perspectives, promote respectful approach to team members and stakeholders.
- Share insights, best practices and bring multiple teams together to enable successfully end to end governance management.
- Enable a transparent and positive relationship culture with team members and stakeholders.

- Capable of prioritizing various tasks according to time sensitivity and importance.
- Capable of contributing and driving higher services standards.
- Able to initiate plan of actions to improve outcomes and solve problems.
- Able to understand, take clear and positive actions to support the leadership teams over governance and risk control matters.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Fluency in Mandarin is a pre-requisite, with the ability to speak, read and write simplified and traditional Chinese.
- Understand and practical experience in governance oversight, control management, risks taxonomy, regulatory reporting and thirdparty management.
- Effective precis writing skills in paraphrasing and summarizing lengthy texts into a concise summary.
- Practical experience in data interrogation, analysis to convert data into insights and actionable plans.
- Experience facilitating, presenting and working with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Agile mindset and selfmotivated with excellent time management to set priorities and plan ahead of deadlines.
- Drive change, adopt positive attitude, can do approach and inspire team members to improve.
- Strong interpersonal skills in stakeholder management and Influencing others.
- Ability to work independently with minimum or without supervision, maintain work quality and accuracy when under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Capable of working in an environment in which silos are common and within situations of various constraints.
- Understand and capable of process mapping, identifying root causes and strategically implement solutions.
- Innovative in problemsolving and critical thinking to take right decisions.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and necessary quality standards.

- Proactive in speakup to encourage others to do the right thing and high ethical standards.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Knowledge in advance Microsoft Excel i.e., Power Query, Pivot, VBA, Power BI, Dashboard is an added advantage.
- Understand and practical knowledge in project management is an added advantage.
- Creative skills in designing newsletter, web page and other media.
