Your new responsibilities:

  • To be part of the pioneer team introducing Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) in ams OSRAM's most advanced 200mm Wafer Fabrication startup site to be constructed in Kulim, Malaysia
  • Assist on the successful execution implementation of AMHS introduction into our new 200mm Wafer Fab
  • Proactively engage and work with vendor for AMHS related knowledge transfer (KT) and hands onskills during KT period at AMHS vendor site
  • Support setup and integration activities with AMHS vendor and Equipment owners at ams OSRAM site, in all phases of project.
  • During startup, to carry out all physical and visual check on site, daily review/Genba and follow up with Site Supervisors (SS) to assess status and ensure project schedule is adhered, as well as escalate if any issues are raised/foreseen.
  • Assist Engineer on Project documentation and management requirements pertaining to Facilities, Equipment and EHS
  • Provide accurate information and regular progress updates as required by management.
  • During Rampup and production, to attend to AMHS breakdowns and solve/diagnose any mechanical / electrical failure expediently with minimum Unscheduled Downtime (UD)
  • Liaise with vendor consistently for any UD that exceeds Servicelevel Agreement (SLA) timeframes, to bring tool back to Productive state.
  • Plan, propose and execute effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan that incorporates key lessons learned as well as vendor recommendations for maintenance, with minimum Scheduled Downtime for PM (SDP) and maximum efficiency of maintenance.
  • Hence innovate towards predictive maintenance to ensure tool uptime (UP) is sustained, and thereby ensure efficient management of spare part management/inventory control, particularly for critical spare parts.
  • Highlight potential design/system issues with current AMHS deployment and integration, assist Engineer in resolution for current/future iteration of AMHS.
  • To perform any other tasks as required by Engineer/Manager for AMHS system.

What we look for:

  • Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Able to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Possess basic knowledge in electrical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Willing to work on shifts.
  • Must have attention to detail, highly resourceful and proactive with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with good aptitude in analysis and solution finding.
  • Able to work under mínimal supervision.
  • Independent with high degree of motivation and good time management.
  • Able to converse proficiently in both English and Malay languages.
  • Prior experience in AMHS systems setup and sustenance would be advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates are highly welcomed and encouraged to apply.
