Job Scope / Position Summary


The role of the AVP, Change Management is to assist the Change Management Lead in orchestrating and facilitating organization transitions including projects in the Integration Portfolio, Transformation, BAU (if required) and Change Request (if required) by working closely with the respective business functions and project team.


The AVP, Change Management is responsible in managing the assessment on the need for change, develop change management strategies for implementation, communicating changes effectively, managing resistance, and facilitate the adoption of new business processes, systems, technologies, job roles and organisation structures.

This role is also responsible in collaboration with various stakeholders, monitoring the change activities execution and its progress and ensure that organizational goals are met during the implementation stage.


Main Responsibility

  • Manage and evaluate the need for change and analyze the potential impact on the organization and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive Change Management Strategy and Plan to support adoption of changes required and integrate change management activities into master project plan.
  • Develop and manage Communication Plan and materials (as required) by work-ing closely with key stakeholders (e.g. Project Team, Corporate Communication, Marketing and etc) and track the activities to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather input, address concerns, and build support for the change. Identify and manage resistance by implementing strategy to overcome challenges and ensure successful adoption.
  • Provide input, requirements and support in the design of delivery of training pro-gramme to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt the changes by working closely with the project team
  • Ensure respective Standard Operating Procedures and Policies are updated by the respective owner for operations reference before project goes live.
  • Evaluate and manage user readiness for cutover. Monitor the effectiveness of change progress after project roll-out, gather feedback and make adjustment as needed.

Qualification and Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor's/ Master's Degree from a recognized University preferably majoring in Business Administration, Organization Development, Communication or related field.
  • Change Management Certification such as Prosci Change Management Certification will be at advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in related field is required, preferably from large financial, telecommunication or information technology industries.
  • Solid understanding of how people go through a change and change processes.
  • Good understanding of insurance business and management principles.
  • Experience in large scale organization change efforts and familiar with project management methodology and lifecycle.
  • Experience in Agile working environment will be at advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assess situation, analyze data, and take informed decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and people influencing skills.
  • Able to establish strong relationships within short turnaround time and manage conflicts.
  • Flexible and adaptable to dynamic environment
