Role & responsibilities:

Creating a Safe Environment: The primary responsibility is ensuring the safety and well-being of the toddlers. This involves childproofing the environment, removing any potential hazards, and supervising constantly.

Facilitating Learning Through Play: organizing activities that are not only fun but also educational. This can include games, sensory activities, arts and crafts, music, and movement.

Promoting Social Skills: facilitate social interactions by encouraging sharing, taking turns, and teaching basic social skills like saying please and thank you.

Encouraging Language Development: engage in activities that promote language development such as reading stories, singing songs, and encouraging toddlers to express themselves verbally.

Managing Behavior: Toddlers can sometimes exhibit challenging behaviors like tantrums or not following instructions. Your role involves setting clear and consistent boundaries, using positive reinforcement, and implementing age-appropriate discipline strategies when necessary.

Observing and Assessing: You'll observe each child's development and progress, noting any areas where they may need extra support. This information can help tailor activities to meet the individual needs of each child.

Collaborating with Colleagues: Working closely with other teachers or assistants in the toddler group class is essential for coordination and planning. Collaboration ensures that the curriculum is cohesive and that all children receive the attention they need.

Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Staying updated on the latest research and best practices in early childhood education is important. This might involve attending workshops, conferences, or pursuing further education.

Qualification & requirement:

• KAP cert/ diploma in ECCE

- preferably min 3 years of childcare/nursery teaching experience

Pay:
RM2, RM2,854.89 per month

Expected Start Date: 07/01/2024
