Overall job objectives
You report to Singapore's IT department to assist in managing all IT infrastructure at Malaysia's office.

Core responsibilities

  • To act as a point of escalation for the technical solution to the end users which included troubleshooting all technical issues related to server, network connectivity, hardware, software, printer /photocopier, etc.
  • To setup, configure and support Window server 2000 R2, 2003 R2, 2016, VMWare and Hyper-V;
  • To setup, configure and support Active Directory, File Server permission, backup server with Hyper-V and external tape storage backup;
  • To setup, configure and support router, cisco switches, wireless access point and Fortigate firewall;
  • To setup, configure and support AutoCAD Mechanical, Product Design Suite, Unitrends backup software, antivirus ESET Business Solution Advance
  • To provide expert advice and support when systems are being upgraded or installed, or when there are conversions or file maintenance.
  • To develop and enhance the existing systems and integrate new systems with those existing.
  • To develop standard operating procedures allied to best practices and ensure that written protocols and guidelines are provided to all end users.
  • To ensure all IT related documents are created and maintained which include user and system manuals, license agreements and all documentation relating to system modifications and upgrades.
  • To negotiate with suppliers and / or vendor to get the best deal, including external support, and being responsible for contracting vendors and making service agreements
  • To develop a budget for each project and manage the financial aspects of the entire IT department such as purchases and ongoing budgeting.
  • To monitor and maintain a proper inventory of hardware and software licensing and ensure all PCs and Laptops are deployed with the latest virus definition and patches.
  • To review established disaster recovery plans and assist with the development and execution of appropriate action to report and address any deficiencies.
  • To execute the IT related housekeeping routines and ensure that back-up operations are executed and completed periodically.
  • To work with the local management to ensure that company-wide key performance indicators are consistently met ad improved upon.
  • Carry out other task as been assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
  • Basic knowledge in ERP and WMS.

Salary:
RM1, RM4,860.28 per month
