Housekeeping Staff

Position Overview:


As a member of the housekeeping team, your role is critical in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for guests.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hotel are well-maintained, reflecting high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.


Key Responsibilities:

Room Cleaning:

  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures.
  • Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities to ensure a welcoming and comfortable guest experience.
  • Ensure that rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, paying attention to detail.

Public Area Maintenance:

  • Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust public spaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies in public areas as needed.

Laundry Management:

  • Collect and process guest laundry in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Operate laundry equipment and ensure proper handling of linens and garments.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and toiletries.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Coordinate with the front desk to prioritize room cleaning based on guest arrivals and departures.
  • Communicate with maintenance and other departments to address any issues related to cleanliness and maintenance.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly to the appropriate department.

Guest Interaction:

  • Respond to guest requests for additional services promptly and in a courteous manner.
  • Uphold a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests.

Compliance with Safety and Hygiene Standards:

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Salary:
RM1, RM2,500.00 per month

Experience:
