ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
An exciting opportunity is available working in the GBS Corporate Finance team, based at our GBS Centre in Malaysia.
Responsible for the timely and accurate planning and management reporting of End Market. The role focuses on both short
- and long-term delivery of financial results for the business and is responsible for ensuring that the Leadership team has correct and accurate tracking towards Direct Reporting Business Unit targets. The role interacts with Corporate Finance Controller to ensure GBS strategic objectives of standardization, scalability and consolidation are met. The role will have 2-4 direct reports.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Play the central role for constructing the key financial targets and the reporting timeline for the end market belonging to the Cluster.
  • Suggest quantifiable initiatives in proposing and implementing creative ideas to improve the reporting system/process and improve the company's financial performance
  • Be responsible to provide the Cluster's consolidated financial forecast to SOP meeting and manage the halfyear and yearend period closure to ensure the Cluster's financial objectives are met.
  • Oversee the Zero-Based Budgeting process review to be conducted in efficient mode and control and monitor Overheads expenses as per approved budget.
  • Timely & accurate compilation & delivery of various management reports and people management through regular feedback and cyclical performance reviews.
  • Excellent analytical mind and rational decisionmaking skills to provide value added financial analysis and input to various functions and management on a proactive basis.
  • Uses key business drivers in planning and future performancebased analysis to support resource allocation decision.; identification to, evaluate, communicate the tradeoffs in resource allocation to meet both local and global business strategies.
  • Build strong collaborative working relationships within finance leadership team and cross functional employees
  • Selfdevelopment by undertaking a capability gap analysis (leadership & functional competency) then proactive drive development plan to ensure the skill and knowledge levels are met expectations.
  • Ensure the delivery of the departmental objectives through appropriate resource allocation, staff development, coaching & mentoring
  • Investigating and responding to adhoc queries/reporting relating to financial performance and analysis requests

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • At least 79 years of progressive experience in a global FMCG or Corporate Finance environment
  • Team player who collaborates and coordinates effectively within the business units, with stakeholders at varying levels in the organisational hierarchy
  • Good administrative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize works.
  • Strong influencing, leadership, communication and problemsolving skills
  • Business partnering experience and a good understanding of other functions of a business
  • Effective communication skills and good command of English in verbal/written communication.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key business concepts and other functions with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional accountancy qualification i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA will be an added advantage.
