Mineral Beneficiation Specialist

Overall Purpose of the Job: 1) Provide expertise in mineral beneficiation that includes process analysis and optimization, studies, engineering and design, as well as technical support and procurement. 2) To decide which method of beneficiation should be chosen according to actual situation. 3) To make evaluation on the mineral deposit. 4) To manage and control mineral beneficiation. 5) To provide expertise skills in production.

Principal Accountabilities:
1) Mine planning, data analysis, and maximization of all ore reserves for Operations. 2) Work with Mine Supervisor and Operations in preparing schedules, reports, and estimates of the costs involved in developing and operating the mine. 3) Work with and coordinate efforts in the Exploration Department related to surveying and drilling, testing, compositing, and interpretation of laboratory results. 4) Carried out at the mine site, mineral beneficiation allows profitable bulk mining by saving time and cost. 5) Provide backup leadership for all mine supervision related to clay haul, overburden stripping, and de-gritting plant operations.

Responsibility / Task:
1) Undertake specific beneficiation / separation methods by employing chemicals or machines. 2) Do particle size analysis in order to make determination of the particle size distribution of the materials being processed. 3) Be responsible of doing necessary research to refine ores. 4) Supervise operation of beneficiation and ensure proper operation. 5) Strictly control quality and size of ores that are treated by machines or chemicals. 6) Maintain the machines in good condition and carry out routine maintenance.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:
1) Relevant certificates in Mining. 2) At least 5 years working experience in mineral beneficiation. 3) Detailed knowledge of plant specifications related to quality and production needs. 4) Capable of working in the field. 5) In good health.

Competencies:
1) Have knowledge of different kinds of ways to conduct mineral beneficiation such as floatation, magnetic concentration, gravity concentration and how to run the machines. 2) Have skills and experience to achieve uniform quality and size of ore processed by machines. 3) Carry out the works in a manlike and safe way in order to ensure the safety in production. 4) Keep studying new techniques applied in mining industry to realize self-improvement as well as development for Company. 5) Develop and perfect existing processing flow and management system to reach the best efficiency. 6) Take good care of the environment.
