SALARY RANGE :
MYR 9,300 - MYR 12,300

A DAY IN A LIFE


As a Cost Control Manager in the field of logistics at Teleport, you'll be a pivotal force responsible for managing and optimizing the financial aspects of our supply chain and logistics operations.

Your role is essential in ensuring that our logistics processes are not only cost-effective but also efficient, contributing significantly to our organization's overall profitability.

You will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive deep-dive cost analysis and providing clear summaries that empower management decision-making.

That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

Budget Management: Analyze and monitor department budgets while working closely with project managers and executives.

Cost Analysis:Evaluate operational costs and identify opportunities for savings. Keep track of budget deviations and report them.

Department Profit and Loss Reporting: Prepare monthly department reports and forecasts, presenting data to management for decision-making. Present financial data to management in a clear and understandable manner to support decision-making.

Cost Control Strategies:Implement effective policies and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

Expense Tracking:Continuously monitor and align expenses with budgets, taking corrective action when necessary.

Project Management: Actively participate in cost-saving projects to enhance overall efficiency.

Risk Assessment:Identify and minimize financial risks by proposing appropriate solutions.

Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with regulations and actively participate in audit procedures.

Process Improvement: Initiate or contribute to projects aimed at automating processes and improving accuracy.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts in controlling costs.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Have several years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or related roles.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Show experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement internal SOPs and compliance policies.
  • Possess knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Show people management skills to effectively lead direct reports and manage company expectations.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to new technologies and enthusiastic about embracing process improvements.
