We are growing and looking to recruit a Assistant Accounting and Finance Manager in our Malaysian office.

This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the Head of Finance in Australia, ensuring alignment on reconciliation, treasury, and finance expectations.


Reporting to:
Head of Finance

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the global reconciliation processes and involved teams based in Cyprus, Australia and Malaysia:
  • Monitor corporate and client balances with the platforms
  • Verify the tasks to ensure the execution of daily reconciliation process
  • Provide support to the reconciliation team by liaising with internal and external teams
  • Liaise internally with other departments for matters relating to finance and reconciliation
  • Treasury management and handling corporate and the clients' funds movements among the entities and financial institutions:
  • Manage and monitor daily the PSP, EMI and Banking settlements and execution within preset limits and timeframes.
  • Overview and ensure the correct and timely execution of intercompany transfers
  • Manage the Accounting:
  • Liaise with external accounting team to ensure correct data and information flow
  • Manage incoming and outgoing corporate payments
  • Maintaining financial records
  • Assist finance head in developing and reviewing budgets, policies and procedures, i.e. for reconciliation and treasury
  • Complete reporting as per agreed schedule
  • Maintain compliance with regulations
  • Participate in the audit of Group of Companies
  • General assistance to the finance department as per the ongoing requirements
  • University Degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field
  • Three years plus, post qualification experience
  • Strong financial accounting management capability within the finance industry
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Deep knowledge of finance, accounting standards and processes, and statutory requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and reconciliation software and systems
  • Strong verbal and visual financial reporting skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Wellorganized and reliable
  • Ability to adapt and work with people from different ethnic backgrounds
  • Membership of a professional accounting association (CA/CPA) or equivalent is an advantage
