SUMMARY


We transport cargo every day to over >100 stations across Asia on behalf of our customers and rely heavily on third-party ground handlers to ensure we can maximize our ability to sell and transport cargo.

In order to provide end-to-end service to our customers, we have a dedicated 3PL Contracts team developing and managing 3PL contracts to fulfill the services we aren't doing ourselves.

The team maintains strong communication with the delivery operations team on a daily basis, seeking on-the-ground feedback on our 3PL vendors' performance.

We are looking for a detailed
- and process-oriented Manager of 3PL Contracts who can lead the team to procure and maintain a database of 3PL. As the Manager of 3PL Contracts, you will act as the 'wikipedia' of contracts and be the go-to on any details pertaining to the contract. You will know contract terms so well that you are able to quickly pick up deviations from the terms, if any. At the same time, you have strong interpersonal skills and are able to develop a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders and vendors. You will be working at Wisma Tune or any other local office locations. This role will be on a full-time basis and you will be reporting daily to the Senior Manager of Strategic Contracts.


You will fit perfectly in this role if you are an avid reader, have a natural flair for writing and are able to exercise those skills in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.

Throughout your role, communication in English will be critical and you can expect to use Microsoft Office regularly.

A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities.

That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

  • Definition and deployment of 3PL contracting framework including how the organisation identifies, selects, contracts and develops relationships with local 3PL partners.
  • Leading the selection and assessment process with the engagements of key business stakeholders.
  • Internal sponsor for the 3PL, acting as the focal point within the organisation, including guiding operational implementations, developing new areas of business, setting out joint strategies and acting as the informal point of arbitration for any disputes between parties.
  • Maintaining a benchmarking and ongoing assessment process for 3PLs. This includes reviewing locally based service providers that may be of interest to the organisation, without necessarily launching a formal selection process.
  • Create a set of KPIs that capture, measure and report on the service delivery and financial performance achieved by each 3PL service provider.
  • Deliver a tactical development plan for each 3PL service provider, encompassing a continuous improvement and innovation framework.

SKILLS

These are minimum skills requirements and a 'must-have' for the role:

  • Can speak and write English to an advanced degree
  • Experience in developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms, drafting contracts and attention to detail.
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Displays confidence in public settings, and in front of an audience
  • A fast thinker able to solve problems onthego and adapt quickly
  • Willing to travel
  • A team player
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and has used it in prior work
  • Hungry for the job

  • Experience in the cargo industry, with knowledge on dangerous goods and warehousing practices

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 5 years relevant of work experience in logistics and ecommerce.
