Future Farms is an indoor farming AgTech start-up based in Kuala Lumpur.

We are interested in providing the safest, healthiest vegetables to our customers while aiming to innovate and uplift the indoor farming industry within Malaysia.


Responsibilities

  • Study plants and variables in order to develop better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques and improve crop yield
  • Design and conduct experiments on specific plant species for commercial implementation
  • Diagnose and correct nutrient deficiencies
  • Test and log samples
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports and present findings
  • Research, develop, and promote suitable farming practices or products that diminish the effects of changes in controlled farming environments
  • Assist with the development of planting schedules, budgets, and timelines
  • Provide advisory to farm managers and operators to ensure optimal crop quality and yield.

Required Skills:

  • At least 24 years experience in research or relevant fields
  • PhD holders are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in Plant Science, Agriculture, Horticulture and Biology preferred
  • Experience in plant trial projects and/or cultivation will be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of plant physiology
  • Ability to conduct efficient independent research and keep up to date on the latest developments in the Agri-Tech sphere
  • Passionate about agriculture and plant biology
  • Cares about quality and attention to detail
  • Datadriven strategic thinker
  • Analytical, proactive selfstarter

Salary:
RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
