Primary Objective:

Provide strategic direction, advisory support and oversight to IB, overseas and nonbank entities' risk managers in the execution of their roles and responsibilities
Lead the HQ and regional risk team to assess and evaluate gaps in the IB risk management of overseas and nonbank entities branches/subsidiaries with the objective to enhance and align risk management practices, controls, policies and procedures, monitoring and reporting of risks
Engage with Senior Management and Country Heads to align risk management objectives, policies and controls to support the achievement of business plans and growth
Report to the Head of Group Risk Operations on the state of affairs with regards to the management of risks for IB, overseas and nonbank branches/ subsidiaries

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic

Provide oversight and formulate recommendations to IB, overseas and nonbank entities risk managers to ensure robust and appropriate risk management policies and processes are in place and functioning, and aligned to Group's
Proactive analysis, identifying and assessment of risk trends and report to Senior Mgt/BRC/BOD.
Establish close rapport and teamwork with IB, overseas and nonbank entities business and functional groups to achieve successful implementation of business plans, projects and new initiatives.
Joint decision making with IB Country Heads on the appointment, and KPI and appraisal assessment of risk managers

Execution

Lead the team to review the analysis and reports of IB, overseas and nonbank entities branches/subsidiaries risks positions and trends and to provide valueadded macro view
Drive effective implementation of risk policies and strategies, initiatives & to reinforce risk awareness culture
Align and streamline risk management concepts, framework, policies and guidelines to HO, taking cognizance of local regulations
Address regulatory & internal audit findings on Risk Management related matters in conjunction with IB, overseas and nonbank entities risk managers
Drive skills, knowledge and capabilities development of risk managers.
Facilitate the escalation of specific risk issues to relevant HO units accordingly (if required)
Active engagement with regional business heads to align risk management objectives, policies and controls to support the achievement of business plans and growth
Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree -.

Minimum of 1015 years experience in Risk Management/Treasury/ Investment Bank/ Assets Liabilities Management/ internal control functions/ Credit Management at an established financial services institution
Understand the Group's strategic objectives, and the role of Risk Management in supporting business goals
Strong project management, analytical and interpersonal skills
